Potassium Hydroxide (KOH)

Potassium hydroxide is a caustic, corrosive inorganic compound. The substance reacts with acids and, as such, holds various industrial and niche applications within the detergent, cleaning and personal care industries.

  • Precursor to the production of other potassium compounds.
  • Made when an aqueous solution of potassium chloride is electrolysed.
  • An E number with some approved uses in the food industry — as a thickener, stabiliser and pH control agent.

We are leading suppliers of potassium hydroxide. With over 50 years’ experience, award-winning facilities and our own distribution fleet, we are perfectly placed to meet any requirement.
