Potassium Sorbate

As a colourless, crystalline salt in solid form, potassium sorbate is synthetically produced from sorbic acid and potassium hydroxide. Odourless and tasteless, many products are processed using this chemical additive in order to prevent them being spoiled by microorganisms.
