Sorbitan Monooleate is an effective emulsifier allowing the mixture of substances such as water and oil by reducing tension which allows emulsification to take place. It also acts as a stabiliser and a wetting agent.
• Used in pharmaceutical bases which where components need to be combined with fats as a wetting agent and dispersant, such as penicillin.
• Ideal to support emulsification in lotions and creams.
