Overview

UltraDox AL de-smut is a non-chromated de-smut/de-oxidiser for aluminium and its alloys. It rapidly removes surface smut from aluminium surfaces that have been etched in caustic soda and is especially effective for the removal of tenacious silicon smuts which are not easily removed by conventional 30% vv nitric acid. Ideally suited for the rapid removal of copper smuts from chemically brightened aluminium. Ideal for use within the UltraLyte 170XL brightening process.
