Xanthan Gum (Food Grade)

A versatile polysaccharide, xanthan gum is commonly used as a food additive and has the E number E415.

Overview

Xanthan gum is an effective thickening agent, emulsifier and stabiliser. In food, it helps to bind ingredients and improve texture. It is stable, water soluble and effective even at low concentrations.

Xanthan gum’s thickening, stabilising and suspension properties give it a number of other niche pharmaceutical, industrial and technical applications.
