Potassium hydroxide is commonly used as a precursor in the preparation of potassium compounds, including potassium carbonates and potassium phosphates, and as a catalyst for hydrothermal gasification processes.
The compound is also used in the manufacture of most soft soaps and as an electrolyte in alkaline batteries. Holding the E number E525, it also has some food-approved uses as an acidity regulator, thickener and stabiliser.
Our potassium hydroxide is available as solid flakes in 25kg bags, or as a liquid in a range of bulk sizes starting at 25L.
