Propionic Acid

Propionic acid is a naturally-occurring carboxylic acid. It is most commonly applied in animal feeds and as a grain preservative, but also has uses in cosmetics, personal care products and cleaning products.

Overview

Propionic acid quickly and effectively eliminates mould and yeast. This gives it widespread use in animal feeds and as a grain preservative, suitable for barley, beans, maize, lupins, oats, peas, wheat. It is also used as an antifungal preservative for pH control.

An oily, colourless liquid with a pungent odour, we supply propionic acid in a range of bulk sizes to meet any requirement.
