With the deadline for consultation on extending the UK REACH transitional registration submission approaching, interested parties are being urged to register their thoughts through official channels.
The UK REACH transitional registration submission deadlines currently stand at October 2026, October 2028 and October 2030. However, following an initial consultation which took place in 2024, three alternative dates were proposed:
Deadlines are staggered to allow time for an alternative transitional registration model (ATRm) for registered substances, depending on tonnage and level of hazard.
Airedale Group Compliance Manager, Steven Marks, explains: “Whilst we await the outcome of the ATRm consultation, it makes sense for the authorities to push back the registration dates. Whatever the decision on the ATRm, industry will need time to assess it and then undertake any work needed to register substances for UK REACH.”
