Nurturing Tomorrow’s Talent

Recently, we have been reflecting on the importance we place on nurturing the talent of the future here at Airedale Group.

During National Apprenticeship Week we highlighted the key role our apprentices play in the success of the business and, in turn, the incredible benefits of gaining industry experience which boosts classroom learning.

We currently have three apprentices at Airedale Group working across the business in quality, finance and electrical with hopes to continue offering these life-changing positions in the future.

However, our work with local schools and colleges extends beyond apprenticeships as we collaborate closely with careers officers to offer as much support as possible.

Our HR Manger recently took part it mock interviews to give students who were considering leaving full-time education and entering the world of work, experience of being interviewed and expert coaching on how to give the best impression to potential employers.

We also regularly accommodate students on work experience placements which gives an invaluable insight into the chemical and manufacturing industries for those deciding on their career paths.

Jacquie Hodgson, HR Manager, says: “At Airedale Group we are keen to offer as much support to the next generation of talent as possible. It is essential in any business to not only bring in new ideas and fresh perspectives, but also pass on knowledge and key skills which have been developed over many decades.”
