Acetic Acid (Food Grade)

In the food and beverage industry, acetic acid (E260) is used as an acidity regulator, preservative and flavouring agent.

Overview

A weak organic acid, acetic acid lowers the pH value of foods – this can help to hinder bacterial growth. Acetic acid can also impart a distinctive tart flavour to certain foods, helping formulators achieve a desired taste and texture.

Our food-grade acetic acid is available in powder and liquid format in a range of pack sizes. We also supply acetic acid for technical and industrial applications.
