UltraBlack blacking salts are designed to produce black oxide coatings on iron and steel surfaces which, when impregnated with an oil, produces a uniform black finish. The depth of colour is dependent upon the substrate and tank process sequence. The corrosion resistance is dependent on the type of oil finish used. This is a hot blacking process.
