Lactic acid is commonly applied in home, industrial and institutional cleaning products and other disinfectants. It is non-toxic to the environment and humans and is seen as a safe alternative to many traditional biocides.
BPR-notified in Europe and EPA-registered in the US, this product is fully compatible with a wide range of detergent ingredients, such as anionic surfactant-based formulations.
Lactic acid also polymerises to form polylactic acid (PLA), a non-petroleum-derived bioplastic with low greenhouse gas emissions.
A low viscous, odourless and almost colourless liquid, we supply lactic acid as a technical grade solution at 80% strength.
